Crafty Sentiments - Male Card

Hi all this is my latest Crafty Sentiments DT card.  This week's challenge is to create a male card.  To be perfectly honest I was struggling until I was sent the Crafty Sentiments new releases and I think you'll have to agree that 'Mike' is absolutely adorable!

I've done my usual CAS styley with this one.  A simplistic, stamp, colour with copics and then write the sentiment (as I don't have many 'male' sentiments) oh and then the hardest bit was embossing this, but I like the embossed lines, especially as they eventually worked!

All you need to do now is pop on over and check out the rest of the teams amazing creations. Oh and if you can why not enter this month, there is a super prize on offer!

Crafty Sentiments - Anything but a card

Hi all, another Thursday another Crafty Sentiments Challenge but with a twist!!  This week we are all doing a bit of hopping (very appropriate in our house as my little Jess has told me she's just learnt to hop!)

Come an join us for some hopping and you might be the lucky recipient of two of the new releases, some absolutely gorgeous Christmassy characters.  The new stamps are absolutely adorable not to mention checking out the amazing new papers.

If you've arrived here from Axa's blog then you're in the right place if not why don't you start at the beginning at the Crafty Sentiments blog.

This week's theme is to make something that isn't a card.  I often get bogged down in making cards so this week I made a bookmark using Christmas Amy.  I decided this would be a great Christmas pressie (we're doing things on the cheaper side this Christmas!)  I used Crafty Sentiments Christmas Amy (isn't she just adorable!!) I stamped her on kraft card and then coloured with my copics (after careful testing to see which colours work on kraft!) And I just had to make her pop by using plenty of Stickles.  I finished her off with a Papermania sentiment and a ribbon from my stash (I think it was one I cut out of a t-shirt - you know, the ones that keep it on the hanger but tickle your neck like crazy!)

Right now pop on over to Bev's blog and share some love :)

It's a bug's life

This is a card for my nephew, I used a Crafty Sentiments digi - isn't it cute! He was a freebie which you can still find here.

This card is for these challenges:

Fairymoon Challenge

I've been told about this challenge and I just loved the sketch so much I just had to do a card.  Fairymooncrafts (what a cool name!) and don't forget to check out their shop.

I've used a DigiSparkle digistamp, the cartwheeling boy from the Anyway Up set. I created the background by masking and used the sunrays technique.  I coloured the boy with a mix of copics and a whispers blender pen, so I could use the same inks as the background. I added the border with a black gel pen and added a Papermania sentiment.

Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer

♫Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose♫
and if you look closely so does my Rudolph! (thanks to the miracle that is glossy accents)
I also added some liquid pearls (using my flicking technique to get the pearls rounded - you just flick the other side of the card to help the blobs settle into a pearl rather than a mountain). I used a Pink Gem free digi - pop on over to check out her latest one.

This card is for these challenges
Pink Gem - Sketch
Allsorts - Song title

Pink Gem Candy time

Look at what Janet's cany is, isn't she good to us! Pop on over to see her candy.
