Crafty Sentiments - Numbers

Numbers are our theme over at Crafty Sentiments this week.  I kind of did a double whammy and popped the sentiment in using a number and I created the background by stamping circles of numbers (look closely, they're tiny!)  I did that by creating a circle mask and then stamping over it, I eye balled the placement and it's actually turned out ok!  The only regret is that I didn't use a darker brown.

I used Annabelle - Party Girl and coloured her with my fav pink colour combo of the moment.  I used a die cut for my number 2 (in fact all the stamps are from the MFT By the Number Set)  I cut her out with my nesties (labels eleven)

Don't forget to go and check out the multitude of inspiration over on the challenge blog, I have such clever team mates!

Waltzingmouse

I recently made a purchase that I've been saving up for.  I made my way over to Waltzingmouse and purchased a couple of stamps I've been desperate to get, Half Pint Heroines, Heroines - Fairy princess, (I already own Half Pint Heroes and love it) and while I was there I picked up Compact Family.

So this was created with Half Pint Heroines, Compact Family and my copics.

I loved this card by Julia Aston and thought I'd create my own version so I used Compact Family to create this card:

and then I tried to create a female version :

It's your day

This is a card that I made a while ago and had forgotten to blog.  I used the MFT By the numbers set to create this, I inked it up with Memento inks (can't remember which ones so I won't guess!) and finished off with some gems.  I din;t have the right colours so I coloured the gems with my copics (a great way to get matching embellishments)

Crafty Sentiments - Colour inspiration

This week's Crafty Sentiments challenge was yet another challenge for me - Orange and Blue - where to start?  Well, I started from the image, maybe I should take a leaf out of others' books and start from the paper, but I just don't plan that far ahead.  Tragic but true!

Must say, despite it not being my usual style I really enjoyed doing this one.  Love this image, it's Scilla Fairy, isn't she so pretty!  I coloured her with copics and added a Paula Pascual sentiment.  I used my ek success flower punch and a brad to create my flower and a flourish stamp to create the, errrr, well, flourishes around the image!

Don't forget to check out my teamies beautiful creations.

Something slightly different!

Hi all,

I seem to have seen quite a few cards recently that involve this sort of pattern and I thought I'd have a go, so here it is!!  I used a Paula Pascual sentiment and my nesties.

Enjoy my non copic coloured card (shock horror, I know!)

Some productiveness

I don't know how far ahead you plan but I often print out images or stamp up new ones and colour them in while watching tv but somehow I haven't made cards at the same rate as I have coloured images so I seem to have a batch of coloured images like this:

and because I was so horrified by just how many I had ready to create with - this isn't even half of them and this is after I'd made up4 or 5 cards as I have vowed not to stamp any new ones until I use some up!

I seemed to have quite a productive crafting session the other day and I thought I'd show you some of my productiveness.

These first 2 use Pollycroft images.

This one uses some freebies from Sherry K Designs

This uses a stamp from TSG - Blossom by Blossom

This card uses a digi from Whimsy stamps

Crafty Sentiments - Christmas in July

Tomorrow's challenge over at Crafty Sentiments is to help you to make a start on your Christmas cards.  If you haven't already seen the latest release you've just got to pop on over to Crafty Sentiments blog and check out the DT's amazing cards.  It's not my turn this week but I couldn't resist making a card with this little beauty!

I coloured this image with my copics and added the shadowy highlights with little light blue dots.  This is my first ever stitched card, I'm pleased with how it came out!  Must have another go at one of these, soon!

I want to enter this into the TSG challenge - stitching

Party Posse

I thought I'd show you a few I created a while back but never actually got around to blogging.  They both use critters from Paper Smooches Party Posse.  They're both coloured with copics and popped on top of Papermania card bases.  The first card uses a sentiment from the set and the second card has a hand written sentiment.

Crafty Sentiments - Christmas in July

This week we're having a marathon of previews for you to ooh and ahhh and then maybe bob on over to the Crafty Sentiments store and buy your favourite!

Today we're showing you Snowman and Friends.

This was one of those cards that came together quite easily. I coloured him in using my copics (what else!) and cut him out with my circle nesties and then layered him with my lacey circles.  I then created the background using scraps of christmas paper, and then I did some faux stitching (can't wait til I get the guts to do real stitching!) Oh and the sentiment is a Paula Pascual one.

Don't forget to pop on over and check out the rest of my teamates amazing creations.
