Anyway, onto the last image of the release, Taking a Nap, doesn't he look cute? I like to imagine he's waiting  for Father Christmas and he's fallen asleep, ahhhh :)

Went for a bit of decoupage on this one, so Billy and his teddy were cut out (also meant I could colour the chair red without worrying about the copics bleeding into Billy) I cut out the squares using my nesties and I die cut the scallop border (MFT die-namics) before stamping a Paula Pascual Christmas stamp.

Anyway, onto the third image of the release, Dressing the Tree; such a cute image!

This looks like a really easy card to make and I guess it was, it just took a long time to put together!  I'm guessing watching telly while i colour doesn't make for speedy colouring! I coloured with copics and glitter pens, cut out with a circle nestie and then I stamped a Paula Pascual Christmas image by shaping it on my acrylic block so it curved with the circle. I then added some Christmas paper (won from the very kind Michelle over at The Card Grotto) which I rounded the corners of and did the same to the card base using my Corner Chomper and Ta Da!

Anyway, onto the third image of the release, Gone Sledging. I love this one, doesn't Billy look handsome and I adore colouring his hair.

Billy was cut out with my labels 11 nestie using the out of the box technique, and I used an Elzybells stamp.  In order to get the sentiment in the right place I used my homemade stamp positioner (lego and acetate - an idea I got from Less is More) I drew the border after adding the dp.  If you look very closely I've stamped some very light blue snowflakes.

Anyway, onto the second image of the release, Christmas Song; Billy and Primrose singing their hearts out!

I created this square card by creating a snowflake background by stamping Stampendous snowflake stamps in Summer Sky Memento ink. The image is coloured using Derwent Coloursoft pencils and Sanasador which I then stamped a Paula Pascual Christmas sentiment on top before doodling a border. I layered the image with a Lacy squares nestie.

Crafty Sentiments - Father's Day

This week's Crafty Sentiments Challenge is an obvious but much needed one - Father's Day.  So get those Daddy images and sentiments out and have a go!

This week I decided to use the gorgeous ticket sentiments and I used the Father's day one which I linked together and printed onto kraft cardstock. I embossed the background and then  added a circle and star (cut with nesties) and a star brad. Hope you like and don't forget to go and check out my teamies brilly creations.

A Pollycraft call

Afternoon all, I thought I would just quickly post this card using one of the Pollycraft freebies Sonny's Party that is to be used for their DT call.  Isn't she gorgeous?

I had a go at something completely different for this card. I realise that there is a trend towards hybrid cards at the moment, mixing digital and traditional card making techniques. So this is my first attempt! I created the frame and sentiment and then imported the Sonny's Party image. Once I had printed it off I folded the card and then coloured her using my copics (mainly R20,22 & 24 - they look a bit pinker IRL!) I do like the CAS styling of it but ... hmmmm. Well I hope you like it and any constructive criticisms are more than welcome!

Food Glorious Food

I know this one is completely out of season but I hadn't realised I hadn't posted it!  This was for my MIL and uses a Dustin Pike freebie. I coloured with copics and then added my own handwritten sentiment and doodling.

This card is for the Sweet Stampin Challenge - Food Glorious Food

Love

Hi all.  This is one of my own digistamps and was created for my Mum to give to one of my cousins. I coloured them with copics (what else!) and layered with purple cs and papermania black and white paper. The ribbon is a sticky one that a stupidly decided to cut into the card shape - hmmmmm, not convinced!

This card is for these challenges:

Pollycraft - Love and marriage
There She Goes - Milestones

Blog Candy

Have you seen Suzette's candy? This week she's offering up one of the new Primrose stamps. If you fancy winning this little beauty hop on over and link up!

Crafty Sentiments - Sparkle

Over at Crafty Sentiments this week our challenge is to sparkle and although I don't often sparkle I do like a bit of glitter now and then. This card probably uses up my months quota of glitter!

I've used some sparkly border stickers and I have attacked Taski's wings and her bow with stickles (hope you can see it!) I do like this Crafty Sentiments digi - Taski, she is just so cute!

Paper Smooches

It's that time of the month when Paper Smooches starts searching for their next Guest Designer and I decided I'd like to add a creation to the list this month. I used a Paper Smooches Digi Bee and I paper pieced him with a Shabby Princess Yellow Floral Paper and popped him up on dimensionals and sprinkled his wings with glitter.

An animal quickie

Morning all, just a quick post today as I really ought to get going.  This card is for the Digital Tuesday Challenge. This is one of those 'created ages ago but not yet blogged' cards. It is one of my own digi's but unfortunately DigiSparkle is now closed (a sad moment but needs must!)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge & CASE

Afternoon all, just a quick post in between out bear hunt and going and flying a kite!

Over at Waltzingmouse Claire is challenging us to CASE one of the beautiful creations by one of the DT. I was inspired by quite a few of the beautiful cards, the last card (Aloha) by Julia Aston was my main inspiration for my card. I loved the way she had popped the borders on to the bottom of the square and seeing as I have just bought a few border punches I decided this would be an excellent chance to use them!

I also loved the 4 different coloured squares on the 2nd card by Anya Schrier so I decided to use 4 different colours for my borders. I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and since I was inspired by squares I wanted to use the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.

So, here is my multi-inspired card :

Firstly sorry for the poor photo, I really need to sort myself out! My dh would be appalled!

I've used the Half Pint Heroes set (using Tuxedo black memento ink and by masking the edges of the square), Square nestabilities, Fiskars wave border punch, Martha Stewart Grass punch, and I used a triangle punch to create the red border and a star punch to create the yellow one.

Crafty Sentiments - Neutral Colours

Hi all.  This week's Crafty Sentiments challenge is set by my and it's Neutral colours because let's face it I'm more of a neutral than a bright colour person!

I used one of the amazing new Primrose images you can buy from Crafty Sentiments, aren't they cute!

I really went neutral with this one and had a go at a technique I've wanted to try for ages, monochromatic colouring. I tried it in sepia (using my E30's range of copics) and then cut it out using the out of the box nestie technique, mounted on kraft and then handwrote my sentiment before adding a few pearls and some Memento Desert sand, Autumn leaves swirls.

Don't forget to check out the rest of my teamies amazing creations and to pop on over to Crafty Sentiments and check out the amazing offers - Suzette has some great new Martha Stewart punches on a special pre-order price.
