DigiSparkle Freebie Hearts

I saw this card by Julie and she really inspired me to create this card using March's DigiSparkle freebie, it will be here from the 1st March! Obviously it's a CAS card (I do love these but I'm sure they take just as long, if not longer, as more complicated cards. I spend ages just deciding where to place things!)

Overwhelmingly Orange

Just that - I can't believe how orange this card is, I think it works! Have you ever coloured an image and then sat there and wondered what on earth possessed you to go with that colour scheme, I mean what exactly can you co-ordinate with it? I scrabbled around and found a few orange papers, so glad I get those pressies from other people that I would never have bought for myself!

Anyway as one of my first go's at colouring a Sarah Kay image I'm quite pleased with it (especially as my eye is a bit weepy at the moment so I was colouring with one eye closed half the time!) Must remember to think carefully about my colour scheme before I colour again! These are digital Sarah Kay's that I found online so technically digital (to fit in with the dare u2 digi challenge)

Anyway, I coloured her with my copics and added paper from my stash, black velvet ribbon and flowers punched using my EK success retro flower punches. I desperately want to buy the smallest flower punch now - I have a go at my husband for saying he's bought something but now needs something else to make it better - I do it too! Whoops!

I really have gone on this time! Anyway for the important bit - this card is for these challenges:

Dare U 2 Digi - Punches

Twit twoo

This owl is for my Dad (this time commissioned by my mum!). He's an owl fan so I hope he doesn't look at my colouring too much, I'm sure it's not very accurate!

This card is for these challenges:

ABC - O is for One paper

Stick the boot in ...

...well not really. This boot card is for my Dad's 65th next weekend, he is definitely a gardener (although more of an armchair one at the moment!)

This card is for these challenges:
Allsorts - Tag
Cupcake Challenges - Keep it simple

Some new DigiSparkle digistamps

I've just uploaded a couple of digistamp sets to digisparkle tonight, so come on over and check us out. Don't forget that we offer a monthly freebie, this month it's a butterfly set.

DigiSparkle offers amazing value for money - it's not just that all our stamps are just 99p but you get so many stamps for that! Nearly every digistamp set has 4 or more digistamps in the set (and some have considerably more!)

Digital Tuesday Sponsorship

This week DigiSparkle are sponsoring Digital Tuesday Challenge. This is a cool challenge site that gave me the push to really use digi images on my cards (and ultimately to create DigiSparkle!) Digital Tuesday Challenge have got a great Design team that always inspire me so po on over and have a look at what they've got up to this week.

I have been asked if I wanted to design this week so I decided to have a go (not sure if it lives up to their standard though!)
Their theme this week is GIRLY. Now I am not a girly girl and although my girls are encouraging me to like pink a bit more I still prefer blues, greens and purples. My interpretation of girly is pink, sparkly, flowers and hearts - so that's what I did!

Have a quakin' day

This is a cool freebie digistamp from Pollycraft - in fact it was her latest freebie (she has a friday freebie on her blog.) Really enjoyed colouring this image and I borrowed an idea from her blog and used a powder to make the mummy duck look fluffy.

This card is also for a couple of challenges

Digital Tuesday - Animals
Pollycraft Monday - Things with wings
Stamp something - Something cute
Allsorts - 321 recipe (3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 image)

A couple of firsts

This card is mainly for Digital Tuesday's challenge I keep meaning to have a go at making an easel card and this challenge finally inspired me to have a go. It was much easier than I thought it would be and I think it's come out quite nicely!

My post says a couple of firsts and that's because I've also had a go at stitching on a card - now I know why I haven't done it before - it's hard! Trying to keep the stitch straight is really difficult - I guess I just need to practice!!!

Anyway, this is a free Newton's Law colouring that I found here. I love Newton's Law bears, so cute! I coloured him with my copics (not convinced about the pink!) and used some card and paper and little pink flower gems from my stash.

Sometimes you have to kiss .......

........ a lot of frogs before you meet your Prince Charming and you're mine!

My latest card! This is one of my sneak peaks, this image will be coming to DigiSparkle soon, just keep an eye out!

This is also for a load of challenges:
Pile it on - To the one you love
Craft Challenge - Valentine or love
Pink elephant - Mushy Gusy Valentine
Papertake weekly - Love actually
Stampin 4 the weekend - Love is in the air
Stamp something - Love somethings
Bee Crafty - Love or romance

My little sister is 18!

I can't quite believe my little sis is 18! I can remember her being born and it was only yesterday! Oh well, I know life goes on but does it have to move quite so quickly? Anyway, this is the card I made for her (Mum says she was chuffed!).

She is a big Tigger fan so I got this image off the internet and coloured with my copics. I backed with some brand new Smirk designer paper, a black satin ribbon (cheap off the market but doesn't look cheap!) and a brand new butterfly charm and I finished it off with a computer generated Happy birthday 18 which I cut out with my nesties.

I'm actually quite proud of this one - it came together quite nicely and I'm pleased with my copics (makes the colours jump out) and I feel I'm finally getting to grips with using ribbons and charms.
This card is for these challenges:
ABC Challenge - N is for New
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Four legged and furry (I presume Tigger counts!)
Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Things with wings (tenuous I know but there are butterflies all over it!)

Guide my steps ...

.. as you promised (Psalm 119:133)

This is one of my current style baby cards, I'm trying for untraditional colours at the moment. I did a couple of these (some were baby cards, some were dedication/christening cards) but unfortunately this is the only on I remembered to photograph before sticking down the envelope (duh!!!)

I stamped a feet stamp in brown Ink it Up ink onto craft paper. I stuck this onto white card and then handwrote the Psalm round the edge. I then added a star charm on an olive green ribbon.

Hope you like it!

Oh, and this is for Simon Says Stamp Challenge
