Crafty Sentiments - My Favourite Things

This week's Crafty Sentiments challenge is My Favourite Things and I have therefore included quite a few of my favourite things on this week's card.  I have included sewing, made it Clean and Simple and used paper piecing (much prefer it when colouring bears, I get too bored colouring in so much brown!) I adore this little bear from  Crafty Sentiments, he's so cute and I love the sentiments that come with this gorgeous Patches and Stitches pack.

Please don't forget to go and check out my teamies brilliant creations and if you get chance show us your favourite things by entering the challenge :)

Crafty Sentiments - Vintage

Those of you who have followed me at all will know this week's Crafty Sentiments VINTAGE theme is a difficult one for me. I am a CAS girl, I don't do layers or distressing and I think I have an aversion to anything trying to appear old (probably because it reminds me of my progressing years!) However, in the name of Crafty Sentiments and their gorgeous stamps I have obliged! So, here is my attempt at vintage:

I used Papermania Funky Vintage papers, Elzybells leather cardstock which I distressed with  desert sand memento ink, added a pink ribbon from my stash, stamped the Crafty Sentiments With Love stamp and then topped with a gorgeous Crafty Sentiments stamp The Bride (yes, coloured with my copics).

A trio of boys

My girls are now into the party age where they seem to have party after party.  Three boys in their class made quite a sensible decision to group together and have a party together, hence the need for 3 cards.  I used Digistamp Boutique images which I coloured with my copics.  I added Papermania birthday sentiment and numbers.

Crafty Sentiments - Thank You

This week at Crafty Sentiments Challenge our theme is Thank You and I'm hosting!  Whatever you do you must pop on over and see what my teamies have created for your delectation.

I have created this square card using a Crafty Sentiments New Release, Blitz.  Isn't she just adorable? I've used the 'Out of the box' method to cut her out and used a nestie to frame her in pink paper.  I created the background by using a heart stamp with Pink Angel memento ink.  This adorble Blitz is coloured with my copics and I've created a shadow using my pencils and Sansador mineral spirits.

Something a little different

For Christmas I had some great presents but one from my hubbie was some Fimo and tools so now I'm finally better I felt like having a go at creating.  It wasn't quite as easy as I hoped (although the 'baking' part went better than I thought!) Here are my first creations! They don't look too bad photographed (always knew 'the camera never lies' was indeed a lie!) I definitely enjoyed myself, can't wait to have another go.

Crafty Sentiments Blog Hop

Happy New Year to one and all

Sorry for being a bad blogger recently but our holidays were marred with illness and I'm only just beginning to feel well enough to craft again (my mind was there but I didn't have the energy!)

But onto the good stuff, Crafty Sentiments New Releases.
My first project of the New Year is for the Crafty Sentiments Blog Hop.

I hope you like my tag using Patches, how cute is he?  I kind of went out of my comfort zone to do this, I don't normally distress but on this one I actually used a nail file as well as distressed ink. I don't know whether you can see it or not but I created a background by stamping the 'sending love' cute sentiment stamp from this release, Patches and Stitch.

If you have arrived here from Hazel's blog you're in the right place otherwise click here to go back to the beginning.

Your next stop is Jac - go and check out her inspiring creation.
