Blog Candy

Michelle is generosly offerening an amazing amount of blog candy here. I love her blog, I look forward to reading her blog as her cards are always amazing!

Always and Forever

This is a card for a church friend who is getting married next week. I thought I'd combine this with several challenges.

I embossed the card with my cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder and then I used a sentiment I created on the computer.
White square card blank

Sentiment - done on my computer

Other - Cuttlebug divine swirls embossing folder, big shot, nesties, Papermania pink shimmer dots.

So I'm entering this card into these challenges:

ABC Challenge - Die cuts
Cupcake Craft challenge - Pearls and Swirls
Pollycraft Monday challenge - Black and white and one other colour
Pile it on - Black and white and one other colour
Splitcoast stampers CAS32 - wedding card

Bible Quotes

Good morning, I actually got a lie-in this morning, 7am rather than 6.30am!!! (little things please little minds!) I thought I'd get this done while my DH is still in bed (he gets the major lie-in!!)

I've got several things going on this weekend that needed cards and as I'm really pleased with how they turned out I thought I'd share them with you. This first one is for a Dedication I've got on Sunday morning. I used a bible quote that I've arranged (I like it so much that I'll try and clean it up and turn it into a digistamp for DigiSparkle)

Craft tonic pastel blue card blank
Handmade bible quote (Psalm 119:113)
Stamp: baby feet (I think this was papermania) and Dew Drop moonlight white ink
Other: Ikea navy blue paper, pastel blue ribbon, nesties, bigshot

This next one is for a young girl at church who is leaving to go to university and we wanted to say thanks for everything she has done at church. Again I di another bible quote and layered up the frame and flowers.

Tesco white card blank
Papermania pink tones paper
Homemade bible quote (Jeremiah 29:11)
Other: Nesties, big shot, papermania flowers and small brads, black ink

A yellow robot

My DH thinks all my cards have to include nesties and circle ones at that, it's not quite true but this another circle nestie one! Hopefully with a little more of a masculine theme - I think the yellow works! This is one of my favourite stamps from DigiSparkle, Robbie robot (although my girls call him Walle!) I did this with the Sweet sketch Wednesday in mind.

Other: Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, gold glitter gel pen, and of course nesties and big shot!

A touch of ... well a touch!

An iPod touch that is! This is yet another DigiSparkle stamp, this time from the Toys for the Boys range. This is the iPod touch from the iPod range (4 ipod digistamps for just 99p - can't be bad!) I think I've gone for a retro feel with all these reds, black and greys (was that an 80's colour scheme? remember a lot of those colours in my brother's room!) Love the stamp (and fairly pleased with my colouring) the layout isn't quite right but I'm struggling to identify why!

Other - nesties, cuttlbug swiss dots embossing folder, big shot, white gel pen, black and white ribbon, derwent coloursoft pencils and sansador.

A touch of pink

Those who know me well will tell you I'm not a pink person, so you can imagine the horror of having twin girls - absoloutely everything I was given was pink! Well, I seem to have mellowed over the years hence why this amount of pink doesn't horrify me anymore! This is one of the new stamps from DigiSparkle, this is Jane. I think she's really cute! And if you like Jane you must meet Peter!

Horse is one of the new digistamps from DigiSparkle. And this horse is for a couple of challenges. The challenge theme at Pollycraft is animals and this sketch is for Friday Sketchers. I'm not sure whether I like it or not, I guess it's just not my usual style of card!Image: Horse from DigiSparkle
