Waltzing mouse sketch

I adore these little guys from Waltzingmouse, aren't they just the cutest? I used this Waltzingmouse sketch for this card, as you can see I rotated the sketch. I used stamps from their Half Pint Heroes set for the background and the three little guy's and I used nesties to create the circles. I finished it off with my corner chomper.

I also want to enter this into the Pollycraft challenge - 3 circles.

Colour your critters

Over at Pollycraft we're being challenged to Colour our Critters. I love the Pollycraft images and these monsters, aliens and robots are so cute :)  I kept meaning to colour this critter that has been sitting on my desk for a month or so, I've finally done it!

I wanted to try out this new technique for outlining where you use dots of various colours.  I really enjoyed it and I think this is a technique that might come out again, although now I look at the photo I think I should have gone further out.  Anyway, hope you like it!

A Card Marathon

Morning all, this may well be the start of quite a few posts (dependent on how many times number 2 asks to " play on the 'puter ") as my Mum asked me to create a set of cards for family and some generics so that she has a chance of remembering people's birthdays this year! (I won't comment on the fact that she's already behind on some of the main members, mainly her father and husband! Feb is a busy month) Anyway, in order to keep everything in order I used an old ice cream box (which I have slightly decorated - must take a photo soon!) and have created about 30 cards, hence the marathon! There are a few more I would like to do but we'll see! So I have about 20 odd cards to show you (I took some from my stash) but I will try to stagger them!

Here's the first one. I recently bought PTI impression plate and this was from one of my first trials. I added a ribbon and stamped the Papermania sentiment on the ribbon.

Crafty Sentiments - Spring

Crafty Sentiments Challenge this week is all about Spring (here's hoping I actually get to see some spring weather this week!) I created this card using the gorgeousness that is Crafty Sentiment's Amy with basket 2, isn't she a cutey? Don't forget to check out my teamates gorgeous creations over at Crafty Sentiments.

Digi and punches

Hi all, this is a card I did ages ago (hence the gorgeous sunlight!) and it's perfect for the latest Digi Tuesday challenge - punches. The image is a digistamp boutique one.

Sorry for the short post but I have an ever increasing headache (hopefully will lessen when kids are finally in bed!)

Crafty Sentiments - Lemon and Lilac

Welcome to this week's Crafty Sentiments Challenge. This week we are featuring the brill colour scheme that is of Lemon and Lilac.  I wouldn't normally choose these colours but they work beautifully together and i loved using a different set of colours (however minimally I used them!) I really followed my heart on this and went for a very CAS card. I used two Crafty Sentiments stamps, the bear is Teddy with Rose and I used a sentiment from the Patches and Stitch set (I love this set.)

Don't forget to check out my team mates beautiful Lilca and Lemon creations.

I coloured Teddy with Rose with my trusty Coloursoft pencils and I blended with sansador.  I finished it off with some gems (I coloured them with a lilac copic) and I added liquid pearls to the bouquet.

Waltzing mouse sketch

I recently bought an amazing stamp set from Waltzingmouse and they are sooo adorable, unfortunately I don't do them justice!  I was on their blog tonight and I saw their latest sketch challenge ends tomorrow so I decided to whip this card up (it's taken me about 45 mins from sketch to blog!)

So here is my humble offering :

Papertrey Ink - Make it Monday

Vellum Sentiment Strip Challenge

I managed to finally get hold of something Papertrey Ink! I bought this impression plate from ebay and I must say I do like the results (you might see a few more cards using it again soon!) I impressed the card and then added shaded it with some ink (i think chalks might work better!) I then stamped the sentiment onto the pink vellum and adhered it using double sided tape on the back of the white card. The framing on the back is actually a deep pink IRL!

Crafty Sentiments - Love/Valentines

This weeks Crafty Sentiments challenge is Love or Valentines, have you got yours ready? Suzette has some amazing images at Crafty Sentiments, check out the cuteness of Taski, she's such a gorgeous digi. I decided she is just so beautiful I din't want to clutter her up with loads of embellies so I just mounted her on this pearlised red card base with a black nestie circle. I finished it off with this sentiment from Waltzingmouse which  I stamped onto this white card and created the banner.

Papertrey Ink - Make it Monday

Papertrey Ink have just started a new series called Make it Monday and this time we are challenged to make a Go To Sentiment card.  Click here for all the details. I think I should have included Papertrey products in this but seeing as I don't have any ... I loved the idea of this card so I had a go anyway. Enjoy.

Pink Gem Designs

Over at Pink Gem Challenge they have a super cute sketch to follow for their current challenge.  I decided this was the perfect time to ink up my newest acquisition.  I bought a couple of Pink Gem stamps recently (in their amazing sale). So I used Sprinkles and Teddy to create, I decided to go for a muted palette so I stamped the image with Memento Desert Sand before colouring with my Whispers markers (I remember now why I went over to copics!)

Papertrey Ink Tag Download

Finally got my hands on some Papertrey Ink stamps, okay so they're digi's (struggling to afford shipping unfortunately) but they're still stunning.  You can read all about it here.  But anyway here is what I created with these amazing circles.

Mouse love

I adore the hot pink and black colour scheme and desperately wanted to use this gorgeous pink paper from my lucky win. I won an amazing paper pack and some adorable stamps from Wild Rose Studio.

I have been on a bit of a spending spree recently and wanted to try out my new corner punch, I had coloured this image from Sliekje (gorgeous images and all for free!) and hadn't worked out to use it so created this little beauty (can you tell I really like it?) I finished it off with  these gorgeous Doodlebug letter transfers (yes another sale purchase)

I'm entering this card for these challenges:

Little Claire's designs - Anything Goes
Less is more - Black, White and Pink
Do it with Digi's - Valentines
Bee Crafty - Hearts
Allsorts - Love, love, love

Crafty Sentiments - Bear on a Card

This month's Crafty Sentiments challenge is to include a bear on your card and it's perfect timing as Suzette has got some amazing bear images at Crafty Sentiments, check out the cuteness of these two, Poppy and Henry. Oh, and I used one of their brill sentiments, this one is from the Quotes and Phrases set.

So don't forget to check out the rest of my team mates amazing creations over at Crafty Sentiments Designs.

Tweet-heart

I finally got some playtime today (although I paid dearly for it, Drew managed to unravel half a loo roll all over the bathroom!) I created this little card using a new release over at DigiSparkle.

I merged two stamps (from the Tweetheart set) together and then cut them out with a nestie (using the out of the box technique). I coloured them with my copics and mounted on a kraft background which I stamped with a heart using Versamark ink before adding the ribbon.  When my Corner Chomper arrives (would have been today but I din't hear the doorbell - how annoying!!) I'll probably round the bottom corners in order to echo the curves of the oval.
