A birthday post

This birthday cake number 1.  For those of you who don't know I have three gorgeous children twin girls and a boy. Somehow all 3 are born in the same week (and no there wasn't an anniversary 9 months previously!).  So with 5 days between their birthdays I was a busy bunny last week!

Andrew was 2 years old on Sunday and in an attempt to reduce the amount of cake we would have to eat I made a small cake with a few cupcakes.  Andrew adores Peppa Pig and Iggle Piggle so Daddy decided we should go down the Iggle Piggle route! (Iggle Piggle is a character from a children's program called In The Night Garden)  I made a small cake and iced it and then created  an Iggle Piggle and his red blanket out of icing.  The cupcakes were then topped with blue icing and red spots and I made 3 cupcakes with just Iggle Piggle's head on for the 3 children to munch on. Right must get, will probably be back soon to show you the girl's cakes (yes plural - 3 cakes in one week!)

New Stash

Finally I bought a few more bits! I've been researching what I wanted next for what seems like ages (don't have much money for crafting so I don't do impulse buys, just well researched buys!)  I finally decided on this Leone Em Punch - New Ash Family and the EK Success flower power punch so I now have the set!  Couldn't resist playing so had a go at this card (incorporating both punches, of course!)  I used the free Motivet digistamp (available here on the blog) and based it on a Mercy sketch.  Went for some spring like colours (and springish flowers!!)

I made this card with these challenges in mind (think this might be a new record for me!):

Pile it on - Furry Friends
Bee crafty - Spring
Papertake - lemon and lilac
Fab 'n' Funky - All New
Allsorts - Spring
Secret Crafter - Spring
Sweet stampin - Spring
Crafty Catz - Spring
Frosted Designs - Spring

Shocking ..

... pink! I'm not really a pink person but I like the vividness of this pink, it's so striking! I followed the Clean and Simple Fall to Layout 82 but went for a heart theme rather than flowers.

This card is for these challenges:

Die Cut Dreams Challenge - 2 punches (I used a heart punch and Fiskars scallop border punch)
Pollycraft - Sparkle (I added sparkle to the hearts)
Allsorts - Pink, black and white
CAS - FTL 82

Stack them up ....

... elephants that is! I love this image, I just adore the way the baby elephant is about to fly off! I've made this for my Nanna, she loves elephants and I thought this was a fun image for her birthday.

The image is a freebie from Cuddly Buddly -they have pages of freebies! I coloured with my copics added a yellow panel and ribbon and a cross charm. The sentiment is handwritten.

I created this card for the following challenges:

Copic Creations - Any technique
Dare U 2 Digi - No patterned paper + digi images
Cute Card Thursday - Celebrations

For my Mum

Mother's Day cards are obligatory, so here's mine. Was unsure of what image to use for my Mum this year, went for a Newton Bear image (free colouring page from their website) coloured with my copics. I felt I needed a little more inspiration so I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch for this week for which I used some of my new Smirk designer papers - I love the pinks on these!

Monochromatic girls

This is a card for my Mother-in-law. I adore Sarah Kay images, and for some reason this begged to be done in green. I coloured with my copics, added a scallop nestie, sizzix tag and some bling (which I recoloured with my copics).

This card is for these challenges:
Pile it on - The one you must

Iggle Piggle

This card is for my son's 2nd birthday (not 1st as I originally stamped - whoops!). He adores Iggle Piggle - i think it was one of his first words! Next challenge: the cake!

Pink Piggy Candy

Here is some super candy from Pink Piggy aka Dawny. I love Dawny's cards, she always such an inspiration. Here are the images she's giving away (she's giving the stamps, these are coloured examples just to show how beautiful they are!) So why not pop on over ad show her some love.
